EMS resistor element

WIRE WOUND EMS TYPE RESISTOR ELEMENTS

Wire would EMS type resistor elements are complementary to the range of CL/RL type resistors and are used when the required ohmic values are high in relation to the power to be dissipated. The materials employed for assembly
(Ni-Cr wire, ceramics and stainless steel) are suitable for all kinds of environments. Inductance, though generally low, can be reduced by using non-magnetic supports or anti-parallel windings. The flat cross section ensures the best utilization of the available space envelopes.

RCE resistor element

WIRE WOUND RCE TYPE RESISTOR ELEMENTS

These elements are used when ohmic values are very high. Thin wire is used for the elements. It is wound on a ceramic support and held in position by a layer of cement and silicon. The ceramic support provides a very high thermal capacity. Such elements are therefore mainly used when short time high energy power is applied.

Flat resistor type JF

RESISTORS BUILT WITH JF GRIDS

JF grid resistors elements are produced from coils of Ni-Cr steel strip. The strip is fed into a totally automatic plant where it is stamped and cut in various sizes. For a detailed description see our catalogue of resistors for railway applications
